The first Critical Care Symposium was held in 2004 and started as a single day event. Since then, the number of medical professionals wishing to attend, both as speakers and delegates has increased. Due to this increase, a few years ago we extended the program of events to cover two consecutive days. In past years, very few medical conferences relating to critical care medicine were held in the north of England. As such, we wanted to create an world class environment for medical enrichment in the north of England and therefore came up with the idea of an annual critical care symposium to be held in the north, particularly in Manchester. Details of previous venues can be found below. The first Critical Care Symposium was held in 2004 at the MacDonald Norton Grange Hotel, Castleton, Rochdale.
The second Critical Care Symposium was held in 2005 at Mere Golf Club in Cheshire.
The third Critical Care Symposium was held in 2006 at The Atlantic Suite at Manchester Airport
The fourth Critical Care Symposium was held in 2007 at The Palace Hotel in Manchester City Centre
The fifth and sixth Critical Care Symposiums (2008 and 2009) were held The Ramada Piccadilly Hotel in Manchester City Centre. The seventh Critical Care Symposium is due to be held here in April 2010. Please see the main events page for more information.
